Summer is here and it’s a perfect time to learn how to skate!
Come practice the fundamentals of skateboarding and gain confidence in your skateboarding abilities.
These introductory lessons are a valuable way to experience skateboarding in a supportive, fun, and safe environment. Lessons are conducted by the founder of Kateboards.
Kate has been on wheels since she was a kid and has a passion for making skateboarding more approachable and inclusive. She has been teaching private lessons in Encinitas for 8 years. She is ready to meet you where you are on your skate journey and excited to help you feel comfortable on your board!
Lesson Details: We focus on the fundamentals of skateboarding including: balance, proper weight distribution, board control, proper kick/push technique, and how to comfortably slow down + brake. After your first session you will have a solid foundation of skateboarding basics and be well positioned to progress with good habits.
The goal is to have you leave the lesson with a smile on your face and feeling more comfortable in your skateboarding abilities. So looking forward to skating with you!
Scheduling - please view the calendar below. The Summer schedule is set for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday sessions. But, if you do not see a time that will work for you, or you need to schedule on a different day please email: info@kateboards.com
Pricing :
Private 1:1 - $75/hour
Semi-private (2-3 people) - $55/each for a single 1 hour lesson
Required : Helmet. Wrist guards + elbow pads + knee pads are highly encouraged. We recommend Protec pads.
Location : Skate lessons are conducted in Encinitas - location listed when you pick a time on the calendar
*please note there is a $25 cancellation fee if lesson is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice
